Shell Undergraduate Scholarships Eligibility Criteria for Nigerian Students

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Nigerian citizens, currently enrolled in an accredited and approved university in Nigeria, have gained admission during the academic session, and be pursuing a first degree programme, and have a minimum of seven levels credits, including Mathematics and English, and be enrolled fulltime in a university in Nigeria (OM).

Applicants must be Nigerian residents who are presently enrolled in a recognized and approved university in Nigeria and meet all other conditions.

Why should you apply for the Shell Scholarship 2021?

Every year, almost 4,000 Nigerian undergraduates take aptitude exams in order to join the ever-growing list of students supported by Shell Nigeria at Nigerian universities. The applicants are chosen based on their performance in the national SSCE and JAMB examinations. This is followed by an aptitude exam in Port Harcourt, Warri, Enugu, Lagos, and Abuja.

The Shell Scholarship Scheme is divided into two categories. Only first-year students are eligible for prizes in both categories.

Shell offers merit-based scholarships in two categories:

The National Merit Award (NM) and – both of which are accessible to Nigerian undergraduates

The Areas of Operation Merit Award is accessible to SPDC indigenes from Abia, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.   • Admission Letter from a University or JAMB (UTME or D/E)
  • Scores from the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME)
  • Result(s) of O Level(s); and Result(s) of A Level/OND/NCE (s)
  • Letter of State Identification
  • Scanned copies of identification letters
